How To Set & Keep Your New Years Goals

How To Set & Keep Your New Years Goals

Hey, there! Long time no see! From all of us at Piña Designs, we hope you had an amazing close-out to 2025 and a great kick-off to the new year.

December of 2025 was soo special for us thanks to you, it was a record-breaking sales month! Whether you bought hair ties for your boyfriend’s sister, your daughter, or even yourself, we hope you’re loving them as much as we loved making them for you.

Like most people, a new year brings that fresh-start energy and the urge to set new goals and resolutions. But let’s be real… how many of us make alllll these goals, feel super motivated, and then somehow fall off the wagon like 8 days later?

Yeah... us too.

That’s why we wanted to check in with a little advice on how to actually make goals that stick using something called SMART goals.

Now, we know it sounds kind of academic, but the idea is actually simple. A SMART goal is:

Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-constrained.

When your goals fit these categories, you’re setting yourself up for success instead of setting yourself up to feel discouraged.

Here’s an example:

Instead of saying,

“I want to consume less plastic, polyster clothing and purchase sustainable everyday essentials”

Try a SMART version:

“Over the next three months, I’ll be more mindful about what I buy by choosing at least two plastic-free & sustainable clothing / accessory pieces.”

Now it’s specific, measurable, realistic, and has a clear timeline which makes it way easier to follow through.

Small, intentional changes add up, and we’re so excited to be part of your journey this year - whether that means more sustainable swaps, more self-care, or just more good hair days.

Thanks for being here with us!
